We recommend that the stainless mounting plate be drilled through the hull, just behind the cockpit as shown below. ( ½" drill bit needed.)

For Sea Kayaks we recommend that you place the mount as far aft as possible so that the flag will be out of your way for safe exits, entrances and rolling the kayak. For recreation kayaks just behind the cockpit is recommended.


Place the polished stainless washer on the top of the hull and the non-polished washer under the hull. Then fasten with bolt provided. Hand tighten mast to mounting plate for easy removal. Do not transport with mast attached
